Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
Harness your body’s natural healing power—for skin, hair, and joint health. Offered at our Mississauga Cosmetic and Wellness Clinic.

What Is PRP Therapy?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses your own blood to stimulate healing, collagen production, and tissue repair. At Skin Beauty Enhanced, we offer PRP for facial rejuvenation, hair restoration, and joint support—designed to promote healthier skin, stronger hair, and overall well-being without surgery or chemicals.
This natural, science-backed approach is ideal for clients looking for a more holistic solution to aging, hair thinning, or inflammation. Whether used on its own or combined with treatments like microneedling, PRP delivers powerful, gradual results with minimal downtime.
As a physician-led Mississauga Cosmetic and Wellness Clinic, we ensure every PRP session is performed with expert care, precision, and hygiene.
How Does PRP Work?
PRP therapy begins with a small blood draw—similar to a routine lab test. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge, which spins it at high speed to separate the plasma rich in platelets from other blood components. This concentrated plasma contains growth factors and proteins that stimulate cellular repair and regeneration.
Once prepared, the PRP is injected or applied topically (e.g., after microneedling) to the targeted area—activating a healing response in the skin, scalp, or joints. These growth factors boost collagen, increase circulation, and encourage tissue repair at a cellular level.
Because PRP uses your body’s own biological material, there’s virtually no risk of allergic reaction or rejection.

What Areas Can Be Treated?
At Skin Beauty Enhanced, we offer PRP therapy for three key concerns:
PRP for Facial Rejuvenation
- Improves skin tone and texture
- Softens fine lines and acne scars
- Enhances collagen production
- Often combined with microneedling for better absorption
PRP for Hair Restoration
- Stimulates dormant hair follicles
- Improves hair thickness and scalp health
- Ideal for early-stage hair thinning or postpartum shedding
PRP for Joint Support
- May reduce inflammation and pain in areas like the knees or shoulders
- Encourages soft tissue healing
- An excellent complement to holistic health routines
We’ll assess your specific concerns and goals during a personalized consultation.
Does it Hurt?
Discomfort is generally minimal. For facial and scalp treatments, a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand. You may feel light pressure or a slight pinch during injection, but most clients tolerate PRP very well.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Results from PRP are gradual and cumulative. Most clients benefit from a series of 3 to 4 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every few months.
Because PRP is a regenerative process, your skin or hair health will continue improving for several weeks after each session.
What’s the Downtime?
PRP involves minimal downtime. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or sensitivity at the treatment site for 1–3 days. When used with microneedling, some light peeling or dryness may also occur.
We’ll guide you through post-treatment care to support optimal healing.

Who Is a Good Candidate?
PRP is ideal for adults who:
- Prefer natural, non-surgical skin or hair restoration
- Are seeking to stimulate collagen without fillers or toxins
- Want to address hair thinning or early hair loss
- Are looking for natural joint support and reduced inflammation
As always, we’ll assess your eligibility during a comprehensive consultation at our Mississauga Cosmetic and Wellness Clinic.
